A Good Laugh for the Soul
[Animal Crackers - Shamrock Edit (HQ)]
This video is really funny and I think I should share it with all of you. I really love humor that isn't awkward or inappropriate and this is just the right kind. Please Enjoy!!
P.S. My favorites are the laughing birds, the beat-box chipmunk and the dancing bird at the end!!

Song of the Week
Nelly - Just a Dream
So this isn't necessarily a favorite song of mine, but I like it and I think this video is pretty cool so please enjoy!!
A Post to Fill the Gap
Okay, so I guess I am kind of OCD and I really like things to look nice and uniform. Well one thing that bothers me is to have two "Song of the Week" posts back to back without a post in between. That has already happened twice and it is driving me crazy!! I can't tell you how annoyed I get. So, this little post is my filler so that I don't have three in a row which would literally drive me to self-destruction.

Who slashed my tires?!? I KILL YOU!!
Okay so no one really slashed my tires, but I still was left with what looked like a pretty slashed tire on the side of the freeway yesterday.
I was leaving school and on my way to work so I took Foothill Dr. and got on I-80 to go to State St. where my work is located. I was just coming down the hill to merge with the rest of traffic and I heard a clank noise (not a pop, a clank) and it sounded like a rock had hit the side of my car or something and I was thinking, "gee, I hope I don't have another dent/scratch in my car from that." A few seconds later I noticed a deep loud noise, so I turned down my music and listened to a loud humming. I knew I must have gotten a flat tire.
To my dismay there was no room to pull over on the side of the freeway so I had to keep driving for a while. After what seemed like forever I was able to pull over before the 1300 E. exit right next to Sugarhouse Park. I climbed out my passenger seat door and looked at my tire. OH CRAP is what I was thinking. Quickly feelings of anger and stress entered my being and I took a deep breath and opened my trunk to get my tools out. I had a spare tire and a jack and that was it. The other tools could not be found. I tried calling my dad twice, who had helped me with my previous flat, but he didn't answer. I tried my mom, no answer, and same with Monica. Now more stress and anger.
Another deep breath and I decided to call my boss. I called Dave and he immediately came to my rescue. We used his jack and while he was jacking up the car I was going to get the nuts off, but it turns out that his lug-nut wrench didn't fit. He had a four-prong tire iron at home that he left to go get right after that. In the meantime I called my friend Amber who was just at her house, which happend to be close-by and she said she would come help. She has a Nissan Versa so we thought that maybe her tools would fit. Luckily they did and we quickly were able to put on my spare tire.
After another couple of hours I was able to get four new tires on my car, with the help of Lisa, and go to work to win for the day for making the most sales.
Not the worst day I guess, but definitely not my wallet's favorite day, or my carefully planned budget....oh well, life happens.
Here are the pics I took with my phone while I was waiting for all my help to come:

Words of Advice
I ran into my home-ward bishop today and he said some interesting things!
First, I mentioned that Brandon told me that he said I needed to date more. He corrected me and just said that is what Brandon thought, like the advice he would give me. Then this is what he basically said to me,
"You don't need to go on more dates, you need to find the right one, the one that you love and want to hang out with all the time."
I just smiled when he said that and I responded that I was going on dates, but that I was going to hold off until after valentines day in order to save money. He laughed and then he said that marriage is really good on a financial stand-point. He said that his son Morgan "has more money than [him]", and that "he made a lot from the wedding and also being married means there are two of you working and you can work hard and focus better too."
So after our encounter I was left thinking, and I have come to the conclusion, that I am RECONSIDERING MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTION. I don't think that I need to go on more dates, I just need to be more up front with girls and get to know them, and just, well, meet new girls and have fun with them. If I end up going on more dates that is fine, but that is just expensive and doesn't help me attain the main goal I guess. A quote that I was recently introduced to applies well here and it says,
"If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing the things you love."
